17/11/24 - Round Three of Birmingham County WF League.

​A squad once again decimated by injuries travelled to Birmingham on 17th November for the final two league games of 2024.
The day was particularly poignant as the squad remembered Tara and wore black armbands as a mark of respect.
There is no doubt that everyone in the team put in two Tara-like performances as for the first time in a while we won a game and drew the other.
This pushed us up to a reasonably respectable 5th place which, given our injuries and the introduction of three brand new players to competitive football, provides hope going forward into next season.
We defeated Arden Forest - who were aiming for the runners-up spot - 2-1 with both goals coming from Kate. What was impressive was the relentless pressing of our opponents with both goals coming as a result.
It was unfortunate that Andrea suffered an injury in the early minutes which could keep her out for a while but Di filled in admirably.
The second game finished 0-0 against Milton Keynes where we had chances but couldn't convert.
Overall, a satisfactory end to our season and a wonderful team-spirit on show yet again including our travelling fans.
