15/9/24 - Round One of Birmingham County WF League.

The (small) squad came away from the Kingshurst Arena disappointed after defeats in the two opening League games.

With only three players from last season available on the day, we brought in four of our recent recruits for their first experiences of the League format and they did themselves proud and will have learned a great deal.

In losing the two games to Birmingham (0-3) and Braunton (0-4) we came up against two much bigger clubs with players a-plenty and it was a hard - and tiring - afternoon for the team without any substitutes.

Effort and commitment was there but maybe the players were a little short on self-confidence and that will quickly be rectified.
