Tell me about Training

Training is held from 7.30 - 9pm on a Monday evening on the state-of -the-art all weather 4G pitches at Long Eaton Utd all year round.

We have 4 Coaches who all help out on a regular basis, taking the warm-ups, skills sessions, and games during the evening. There is usually a fun section involved too!

Socials

We try to arrange social activities on a regular basis, but getting all the ladies together on a chosen date can be quite a challenge!

We hold monthly meetings in the Bar area after training once a month for a chat over a drink to discuss any ideas, queries or problems which may have arisen.

We organise an annual Ladies Christmas Meal and a joint Summer BBQ with the Men's squad.

How we are funded

Following the Ladies initial start up in October 2022, we have received local council grants for kit and other equipment and also donations from generous local companies.

All registered players pay a monthly subscription which covers all other general expenses. (insurance, pitch hire, registration etc., and any match fees.)

2 Free Sessions!

We offer new attendees two free sessions to try walking football, and also the loan of astro or football boots, shin pads and socks if required - not everyone has a pair at the back of the wardrobe!

Once you register as a player, you will be required to pay a monthly subscription which works out at less than £5 per week.

What can I expect when I've registered?

Each registered player is issued with a LEWFC training top, and we also offer the option to purchase a Club hoodie for warmth in the winter!

All of our registered players are insured via the F.A. or W.F.A. whilst training or playing.

We offer differing playing options, from just coming training to keep fit, fun and 'me' time, to playing competitively as part of the squad in Leagues and Tournaments around the country.

Welfare and First Aid

We take First Aid and the Welfare and Mental Health of all our players and officials very seriously, in both physical & digital environments.

Our Ladies Welfare Officer & other Ladies Club Officials have all completed the F.A. Safeguarding & First Aid Courses in order to protect players and promote player welfare.

We also have our own defibrillator available at all our training sessions and matches.

Who runs LE Ladies WF?

The Club as a whole is run by a Committee consisting of both Ladies & Men's representatives, each having a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Welfare Officer and Team Coach or Captain.

An annual AGM is held, as well as regular minuted Committee meetings.
