"I love that we are a 'team'; everyone is supportive and encouraging of each other. We are fortunate that we receive excellent training from knowledgeable and dedicated coaches, we are then able to practice our learned skills and watch them unfold as we play a game of football. What's not to love....? Apart from injuries!

"Didn’t know what to expect, when I turned up for training having been invited by a friend to check out walking football. I had never played football before and if I’m honest wasn’t really a football fan (Rugby all the way!). However, I have played several team sports and was very much missing the camaraderie of being part of a team. I missed the training, the banter and generally being part of a diverse group of like-minded people having fun and achieving something together. At 54 I didn’t really think I’d experience that again. How wrong was I! It is daunting going somewhere new, but I was welcomed with open arms by the ladies and the fantastic (& patient) coaches, from the minute I turned up. No judgement on ability and inclusive to all. I tried it, I LOVED it and I keep coming back for more." TS
"I’ve been here from the inaugural meeting in 2022 and loved it from day one. Getting involved in the running of the Club has been an eye-opener and very time consuming, but doing so allows others who don’t have that luxury, to just turn up and play. Yes, we’ve had our ups and downs like any team, but we now have a great bunch of friendly ladies of varying abilities, who seem to love and really enjoy the training sessions, matches and socials they take part in. I’d definitely recommend giving it a go, even if you have never kicked a ball before, it’s great Monday night fitness and ‘me’ time!" KG
